Brake cleaner that restores braking confidence
Effective braking is the foundation of safety. Even a thin layer of oil, grease or brake dust can significantly increase stopping distance and affect your safety.
OC1 Power Brake Cleaner is a professional aerosol brake degreaser that removes all contaminants from the braking system in seconds – from brake fluid through oil and grease, to asphalt and tar deposits. You don't need to be a mechanic to care for your brakes – simple application and you're done.
Main properties of Power Brake Cleaner
What sets Power Brake Cleaner apart from other degreasing products? Above all, powerful action combined with safe use.
- Instant degreasing – the strong power aerosol formula acts instantly, penetrating even the most stubborn deposits.
- No harmful solvents – unlike many competing products, it contains no chlorinated solvents, meaning less health risk during use.
- Fast evaporation without residue – the formula evaporates quickly, leaving no deposits, stains or marks, you can get on your vehicle and ride immediately.
- Eliminates pad squeal – not only cleans but also conditions disc brake pads, reducing noise and extending their lifespan.

Who should use this product?
Power Brake Cleaner is a product made for anyone who cares about safety and performance of their vehicle. Off-road and street motorcycle owners know that regular brake cleaning after off-road riding or in city traffic is essential for safety. MTB and road cyclists are aware that bicycle disc brakes are even more sensitive to contamination — a drop of chain oil on the disc means longer stopping distance. DIY enthusiasts will find this product a simple way to keep brakes in perfect condition between service visits, saving time and money.
Professional workshops and racing teams, for whom reliability and consistent performance matter, will appreciate a product used by motorsport professionals — a guarantee of the highest quality. Power Brake Cleaner ensures reliable performance in all conditions, from daily commutes to extreme track challenges.
When to use Power Brake Cleaner?
Regular brake system cleaning is not a whim but a necessity for safety and long component lifespan.
- After riding in difficult conditions – mud, water, sand and dust are enemies of effective braking, after every ride in rain or mud it's worth degreasing the brakes.
- When replacing pads or discs – the ideal moment to thoroughly clean all brake system components and ensure optimal bedding of new pads.
- When brakes start losing effectiveness – often thorough degreasing is enough to restore full performance without costly component replacement.
- When servicing chain and drivetrain – when lubricating the chain it's easy to contaminate nearby brake components, quick use of Power Brake Cleaner will prevent reduced braking effectiveness.

More than just brakes
Although the name suggests brakes, Power Brake Cleaner is a universal degreaser that works well in many other applications. Drivetrain components — chain, cassette, cranks, derailleurs — require degreasing before re-lubrication to extend lifespan. Suspension and mechanisms, such as fork bushings or brake and clutch mechanism axles, need periodic degreasing to operate smoothly and reliably. The product also works great for surface preparation before bonding — before using adhesives or sealants surfaces must be perfectly degreased, and Power Brake Cleaner is a quick way to prepare metal, plastic or composites.
The product is also excellent for cleaning tools and workshop components — after workshop work, tools and work surfaces require thorough degreasing, and the aerosol quickly restores them to cleanliness. This is a solution that goes far beyond standard brake system applications, offering versatility in everyday service and maintenance work.

1. Prepare the surface
Before application, make sure the brakes are cool. If you've just been riding, wait a few minutes for the components to cool down. You don't need to unscrew or disassemble anything – the product also works on mounted components.
2. Shake the container vigorously
Before use, shake the aerosol for a few seconds. This ensures even mixing of active ingredients and maximum effectiveness. You may hear characteristic balls inside – this is a normal element of aerosols.
3. Apply from a distance of 15–20 cm
Hold the aerosol at a distance of approximately 15–20 cm from the surface being cleaned. Cover all elements evenly – discs, pads, calipers, mechanisms. Thanks to the 360° valve, you can work in any position, even upside down for hard-to-reach places.
4. Let the product work
Wait 10–20 seconds, allowing the formula to penetrate and break down contaminants. You'll see the product washing away dirt and oil – no scrubbing or polishing needed. The powerful formula will do it for you.
5. Remove contaminants with a clean cloth
Wipe the surface with a clean, dry microfiber cloth or workshop paper. Collect dissolved contaminants and allow remaining product to evaporate. After a few minutes, brakes are ready for use.

Tip
Regular brake degreasing (every 4–6 weeks with intensive use) significantly extends pad and disc lifespan. Clean brakes are also quieter brakes – you eliminate squeal before it appears. It's worth always having a bottle in the workshop or garage – a small package means long usage time with standard maintenance.
Is Power Brake Cleaner safe for all brake types?
Yes, the brake degreaser is safe for disc, drum and shoe brakes, both in motorcycles and bicycles. It works effectively on steel discs, organic and metallic pads and all metal components of the brake system. The only exception is painted, lacquered and plastic surfaces – here it's better to use dedicated cleaning agents.
How often should I degrease brakes?
Frequency depends on usage conditions. For off-road riding in mud and dust, we recommend degreasing after each intensive ride. For normal road use, every 4–6 weeks is sufficient. Always degrease brakes after lubricating the chain, replacing pads or when you notice squeal or reduced braking effectiveness.
Can I use this product in an enclosed space?
Power Brake Cleaner should be used in well-ventilated areas. Although the formula contains no harmful chlorinated solvents, inhaling aerosol is not recommended. If working in a garage, open the door or window. When working outdoors, there are no restrictions.
How long must I wait after application before riding?
The formula evaporates very quickly – usually 2–3 minutes is enough. After wiping the surface with a cloth and waiting briefly, brakes are ready for use. There's no risk of leaving a slippery coating that could affect braking effectiveness.
Does the product damage seals and rubber elements?
No, Power Brake Cleaner is safe for all standard seal materials, rubber brake system elements and bushings. The formula contains no aggressive solvents that could damage elastomers or cause seal swelling.
How long does one 500 ml bottle last?
With standard use, one bottle is enough for 15–20 complete brake system degreasings for a motorcycle or bicycle. Of course, this depends on contamination level and usage frequency, but this is a very efficient product – a few short sprays are enough to clean one disc.
Does Power Brake Cleaner also remove rust?
Power Brake Cleaner effectively removes light deposits and surface corrosion, but it's not a dedicated anti-corrosion product. For heavier rust, a dedicated corrosion remover works better. After degreasing, it's worth protecting metal surfaces with an appropriate protective product.
What's the difference between Power Brake Cleaner and standard Brake Cleaner?
Power Brake Cleaner is an increased strength version (Strong power aerosol) – the formula works faster and is more aggressive against stubborn contaminants. If you have heavily soiled brakes after off-road riding or long periods without maintenance, Power is the better choice. For light, regular maintenance, standard Brake Cleaner is sufficient.
Can I use this degreaser for chain cleaning?
Yes, Power Brake Cleaner works great for degreasing the chain before reapplying lubricant. It removes old grease, deposits and contaminants, preparing the surface for new lubricant application. However, for comprehensive chain cleaning, dedicated Chain Cleaner will be even more effective, as it contains special ingredients that break down brake dust buildup.
Is the product flammable?
Yes, like most aerosols, Power Brake Cleaner is flammable. Store away from fire sources, sparks and hot surfaces. Do not smoke during application and ensure good ventilation. After use, wait for fumes to evaporate before using any spark-generating tools.
Can I store the aerosol in a vehicle?
We don't recommend storing aerosols in vehicles, especially in summer. High temperatures in a closed car or motorcycle compartment can cause pressure buildup in the container. Optimal storage temperature is 5–25 °C in a dry, shaded place.
