1. Rinse the vehicle with water
Before applying the product, rinse the vehicle with clean water to remove loose dirt, sand and stones. This prevents scratches during cleaning and allows the product to penetrate deeper layers of grime more effectively. A standard garden hose or a pressure washer on low setting will work well.
2. Spray the vehicle with the cleaner
Set the trigger to "foam" and evenly saturate the entire vehicle surface with the cleaning product. No need to be sparing – the dirtier the surface, the more product can be applied. Pay particular attention to the most soiled areas: wheels, mudguards, suspension and drivetrain.
3. Wait 2–3 minutes
Allow the product to work for 2–3 minutes – this is when the active ingredients break down the dirt. However, do not let the product dry on the surface. On very hot days, spray the vehicle more frequently in smaller sections or work in the shade.
4. Use a brush if needed
For very stubborn contamination or hard-to-reach areas, gently assist with a soft brush. Do not press hard – the product does most of the work. The brush is only for reaching recesses and crevices, not for scrubbing.
5. Rinse thoroughly with water
Set the trigger to "stream" or use clean water to rinse the vehicle thoroughly. Ensure all product residue and dirt has been removed. The vehicle can be dried with a microfibre cloth or left to air dry naturally.
Important
Do not apply the product to hot or warm surfaces – this may cause it to dry too quickly and reduce cleaning effectiveness. Optimal application temperature is approximately 15–25 °C. Avoid cleaning in direct sunlight on hot days – work in the shade or wait for a cooler time of day. After use, close the bottle securely and store at 5–25 °C, away from frost and direct sunlight.
Tip
For best results, use the product regularly after each ride in challenging conditions, before the dirt has time to dry. The fresher the contamination, the easier it is to remove. If planning a longer break between rides, always clean the vehicle before storing – dried mud is harder to remove after weeks of standing, and moisture trapped beneath dirt layers can lead to corrosion.
Can I use OC1 Offroad Cleaner on my road motorcycle or road bike?
Absolutely. Although the product was designed with offroad vehicles and extreme contamination in mind, it is completely safe and effective for all types of motorcycles and bicycles. The formula does not distinguish between vehicle types – if there is a dirty surface to clean, OC1 Offroad Cleaner will handle it. Simply remember the basics: do not apply to hot surfaces and always rinse thoroughly with water.
How often should I wash my vehicle with this motorcycle cleaner?
This depends on the conditions in which you ride. After riding in mud, rain or through puddles, it is worth using the product immediately upon returning, before the dirt dries. With regular riding in dry conditions, cleaning every 2–3 rides is sufficient. Remember: the more frequently you care for your vehicle, the easier it is to clean and the longer your components will last. There is no risk of "over-washing" – the product is safe for frequent use.
Is the product safe for brake discs and pads?
Yes, OC1 Offroad Cleaner is completely safe for the braking system, including discs and pads. The formula has been designed to effectively remove contamination without leaving a slippery residue that could affect braking performance. After cleaning and thorough rinsing, the braking system is clean and functions normally, with no additional steps required.
How many washes can I get from one 950 ml bottle?
One bottle is sufficient for approximately 15–20 washes of an entire offroad motorcycle or quad, depending on the level of contamination and vehicle size. With smaller vehicles such as MTB bikes, you may achieve even more washes. Do I need to dilute the product before use?
No, the product is ready to use. This is one of the main advantages of OC1 Offroad Cleaner – no need to consider proportions, mix or prepare a solution. Simply open the bottle and start cleaning immediately. The formula is already perfectly balanced for optimal effectiveness and safety on all surfaces. Diluting the product may reduce its effectiveness.
Can I use the product in a car wash or with a pressure washer?
Yes, OC1 Offroad Cleaner can be applied before washing with a pressure washer. First spray the vehicle with the product, wait 2–3 minutes, then rinse with pressurised water. However, remember not to use the pressure washer too close to delicate components such as bearings, seals or electrics. A safe distance is at least 30–40 cm, and pressure should not exceed 100 bar for delicate parts.
Does the product leave a protective coating?
OC1 Offroad Cleaner leaves a minimal care layer that offers basic surface protection. For long-lasting protection and a hydrophobic effect, we recommend applying OC1 Polish&Protect after cleaning, which leaves a durable water and dirt-repelling coating, making subsequent washing significantly easier and protecting paintwork and plastics from environmental factors.
What is the shelf life of the product? Can I store it for an extended period?
The product maintains full effectiveness for a minimum of 3 years from the production date, provided it is stored under appropriate conditions. Keep the bottle at 5–25 °C, away from direct sunlight and frost. Always close the bottle securely after use to prevent evaporation of active ingredients. If the product has changed colour, consistency or has an unusual odour, do not use it – although this is very rare with proper storage.
Can I use the product on textiles and helmets?
Yes, OC1 Offroad Cleaner is safe for motorcycle and cycling textiles as well as helmets. It works well for cleaning suits, boots, protectors or bags that have become covered in mud. For helmets, it can be used on the outer shell. For textiles, however, we recommend the dedicated OC1 Fresh Up product for eliminating unpleasant odours, and after cleaning, applying OC1 Impregnation Spray to restore water-resistant properties.
What should I do if the dirt does not come off the first time?
For very stubborn, dried-on contamination, apply the product twice. The first application softens the dirt layer, the second removes it completely. The dwell time can also be extended to 5 minutes, whilst ensuring the product does not dry on the surface. In extreme cases, gently assist with a soft brush, focusing on the most persistent areas. Remember: scrubbing is not necessary if you give the product sufficient time to work.
Does the product have any special safety requirements during use?
OC1 Offroad Cleaner is safe for normal use according to the instructions. Avoid contact with eyes – if this occurs, immediately rinse with plenty of water and consult a doctor. The product is not intended for consumption – store out of reach of children and pets. Use in well-ventilated areas or outdoors, do not deliberately inhale vapours. Although the product is safe for skin, protective gloves are recommended for sensitive skin or prolonged contact.

Riders sometimes assume that if they see a "motorcycle" label, they will not use the product on a bicycle and vice versa – which is why we offer different naming variants.
