A puncture on the trail can ruin any ride. OC1 Tubeless Sealant is the solution that protects against most minor punctures — from thorns and small glass to tiny nails. This sealing compound works in real time: when something punctures your tire, the fluid instantly fills the hole and creates a durable seal. No need to stop or find a repair spot — you simply keep riding.

The range of applications is exceptionally wide: from road bikes with 80 PSI pressure, through gravel and cyclocross, to MTB, enduro and downhill with 15 PSI. One sealant, all bike types — an approach valued by recreational riders and demanding competitors alike.

Main properties

What sets OC1 Tubeless Sealant apart from other tubeless tire sealing compounds? It's a product created with both weekend amateurs and demanding competitors in mind.

  • Adheres to the entire tire interior – the fluid spreads evenly across the inner side of the tire, creating a uniform protective layer.
  • Ready to use – requires no dilution or special preparation, so you don't need to think about ratios, and the formula always works optimally.
  • Ammonia-free – the synthetic latex-based formula contains no ammonia, which can cause irritation, making it a non-allergenic product safe for sensitive skin.
  • Extreme condition resistance – the sealant remains effective across a wide temperature range: from -20°C to +50°C, providing 6+ months of protection in temperate climates.
  • CO2 compatible – if you inflate tires using CO2 cartridges, no problem, the sealant works smoothly with this inflation type as well.

Who should use OC1 sealant?

OC1 Tubeless Sealant is a universal product that works in various usage scenarios. Amateur cyclists will appreciate the peace of mind — once applied, the compound works for several months, protecting against minor punctures. Long-distance touring enthusiasts will find smaller packages an ideal emergency solution that doesn't take up luggage space.

Competitors and athletes need maximum equipment reliability. OC1 sealing compound is used by professional riders — if it works at world championships, it certainly won't fail during amateur competitions. Owners of multiple bikes — road, MTB and gravel — need only one sealant that works across all vehicle types. Urban cyclists riding routes full of glass, sharp stones or thorns will appreciate the compound's instant response to minor punctures, allowing them to reach their destination without stopping for repairs.

When to use Tubeless Sealant?

There are several key moments when it's worth replenishing or replacing the compound in your tires.

  • During first tubeless tire installation – when switching to tubeless system or fitting new tires, you'll ensure maximum protection from the very start.
  • Every 3–6 months with regular riding – sealing compound dries out and loses effectiveness over time, regular replenishment guarantees full protection.
  • Before planned races or trips – before an important start or multi-day expedition, always check sealant condition and replenish if needed for puncture-free peace of mind.
  • After seasonal break – bike stood in the basement all winter? Check the compound condition in spring and replenish if needed.
  • When riding in extreme conditions – planning a route full of thorns, sharp stones or roots? Before such a trip, make sure you have sufficient fresh sealant.

How does this protection system work?

OC1 Tubeless Sealant is more than just a fluid — it's a comprehensive protection system that works in multiple stages. After pouring into the tire, the compound evenly coats the entire inner surface with a thin layer that adheres to the material and forms the first line of defense against punctures. When a sharp object punctures the tire, air pressure pushes the sealant through the hole, and the fluid instantly fills the opening and begins to thicken upon contact with air — this happens in a fraction of a second.

The synthetic latex formula creates a durable seal that withstands continued use. This isn't a temporary patch — it's a solid repair that lets you ride on without worry. Most minor punctures are effectively sealed permanently. The compound doesn't cause corrosion or damage tires, rims or valves, it's friendly to all materials used in bicycles — from aluminum through carbon to rubber and seals. If needed, you can easily replenish sealant through the valve or when removing the tire, no need to clean the tire of old product residue.

1. Prepare the tire and rim

Make sure the tire is properly seated on the rim and the rim tape is correctly installed. If mounting tires for the first time, it's worth checking system tightness before adding sealant.

2. Remove the valve core

Using a valve core tool, unscrew the core from the tubeless valve. This will allow the product to easily flow into the tire interior. Keep the core in a safe place.

3. Inject the right amount of sealant

Use a syringe or pour directly from the bottle through the valve opening. Recommended amounts: 60–80 ml for road tires, 80–120 ml for MTB/gravel. For 29" or plus tires you can use up to 120–140 ml. Don't overdo the amount — too much product means unnecessary weight.

4. Reinstall the valve core

Screw the valve core back in and tighten it firmly, but don't overdo it. Make sure it's sealed tightly.

5. Inflate the tire to recommended pressure

Use a hand pump, compressor or CO2 cartridge. Inflate to the pressure recommended by the tire manufacturer — usually from 15 PSI (gravel/enduro) to 80 PSI (road). The tubeless tire sealant is fully compatible with CO2.

6. Rotate the wheel to distribute the product

Rotate the wheel several times in each direction and tilt it in different directions. You can also simply ride for a few minutes. This will ensure the sealant evenly covers the entire tire interior.

Important

Ambient temperature — don't apply the product on hot surfaces or immediately after intense riding. It's best to work at room temperature when the tire is cold or slightly warm.

Shake the bottle before use — before application, vigorously shake the bottle for 10–15 seconds to ensure ingredients are well mixed and the sealant works optimally.

Monitor product level — every 2–3 months check the sealant condition in the tire. If the liquid starts clumping or has dried out, top up or replace.

Protect your clothing — the sealant may stain fabrics. Work in clothes you don't mind getting dirty, or wear gloves and an apron.

Tip

Regular checking — it's worth regularly (every 1–2 months) checking tire pressure and sealant condition. If you notice pressure dropping faster than usual or see clumps of dried product through the valve, it's time to top up.

Use the winter season — if you don't ride in winter, it's a good time to replace the product. In spring you'll start with fresh liquid and full protection for the entire season.

Does OC1 Tubeless Sealant work in every type of bike?

Yes, OC1 Tubeless Sealant is universal and works in road bikes with high pressure (up to 80 PSI) as well as MTB, enduro, gravel or downhill bikes with low pressure (from 15 PSI). One formula for all types of tubeless bikes.

How much sealant do I need for one tire?

For road tires, 60–80 ml is usually enough, for MTB/gravel tires 80–120 ml. For large 29" or plus tires you can use up to 120–140 ml. One 140 ml bottle is enough to fill one tire with some to spare.

How long does the product last in the tire?

OC1 Tubeless Sealant provides up to 6+ months of protection in temperate climate. In dry and hot conditions it may require more frequent topping up (every 3–4 months), in humid climate it may last longer. Regularly check the product condition.

Will the sealant damage my tires or rims?

No. The OC1 Tubeless Sealant formula is safe for all materials used in bikes — it doesn't cause corrosion, doesn't damage tires, rims, rim tape or valves. You can use it without concerns in any tubeless system.

Can I use CO2 cartridges with this product?

Yes, OC1 Tubeless Sealant is fully compatible with CO2 cartridges. You can inflate tires this way without any issues — the sealant will maintain its properties.

What to do when the product clumps up?

Clumping is a sign that the sealant is starting to dry out and losing effectiveness. It's best to top up with fresh liquid or completely replace the product. Shake the tire — sometimes this helps short-term, but ultimately you'll need to add new sealant.

Does the sealant seal every puncture?

The product handles small punctures excellently (thorns, small nails, fine glass) up to about 3–4 mm. Larger holes may require a patch or tire replacement. In most everyday situations, the sealant will handle things without your intervention.

How to store unused product?

Store at temperatures from 5°C to 25°C in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight. Make sure the bottle is tightly sealed. Shake the bottle before each use.

Can I mix OC1 sealant with another product?

Although technically possible, we don't recommend mixing different sealant brands as they may react unpredictably. It's best to completely remove the old product and fill tires with fresh OC1 Tubeless Sealant.

How much does the product weigh and does it affect bike weight?

The sealant has similar density to water. The recommended amount of 60–120 ml means an extra 60–120 g per tire, which is an acceptable cost for puncture protection. Most cyclists consider this trade-off beneficial — you save time and stress, gaining peace of mind.

Can I use the product in tires with inner tubes?

The sealant is designed for tubeless systems. In tires with inner tubes it won't work properly because it has no access to the inner tire surface. If you want to switch to tubeless tires, OC1 Tubeless Sealant is an excellent choice to start.

How easy is it to wash off the product?

Sealant residue is easily removed with warm or hot water and a sponge. The product doesn't create permanent stains and you'll easily wash it off rims, tires or tools.
