Professional aircraft cleaning that takes just minutes

After every flight, the aircraft surface becomes covered with insect residue, dust, hydraulic oils and other contaminants. Traditional cleaning means hours of work and concerns about damaging delicate surfaces. Aircraft Cleaner changes these rules — a product developed specifically for the aviation industry, tested by leading pilots in the most demanding conditions.

You don't need to be an aviation mechanic to make your aircraft look like it just left the hangar. Just wait and wipe — no scrubbing, no risk of damaging protective coatings or delicate avionics. It saves time and ensures every surface is cleaned safely and effectively.

Main properties of Aircraft Cleaner

What makes this aircraft cleaning product succeed where conventional cleaners fail? It's the combination of advanced chemistry with practical requirements of pilots and technical crews.

  • Nanotechnology – innovative formula works at microscopic level, penetrating deep into insect residue, oil deposits and atmospheric buildup
  • Ready to use – requires no dilution or special ratios, so you open the bottle, spray the surface and you're done.
  • Safe for aviation materials – works effectively on paint, aluminum, composites, plexiglass, chrome, rubber and plastic without leaving dull spots or damage.
  • 2-in-1 trigger: foam and stream – one bottle, two application methods.

Who is it for?

Private aircraft owners will appreciate the convenience of compact packaging with sprayer that can be kept in the hangar or taken to the airstrip. Amateur and recreational pilots will find a quick solution for cleaning after weekend flights without needing to involve technical crew.

Flight instructors and pilot schools gain an efficient cleaning product to maintain training fleet in impeccable condition between lessons without wasting students' time. No specialized technical knowledge required — the product works equally well in the hands of a hobbyist as it does with a certified aviation mechanic.

When to use Aircraft Cleaner

This aircraft cleaning product performs in every situation when aircraft require restoring cleanliness after flight operations:

  • After every flight – removing fresh insect residue from leading edges before they dry and set on the surface.
  • After long flights – when the fuselage becomes covered with atmospheric buildup, dust and other contaminants from different climate zones.
  • After landing on grass airstrips – cleaning landing gear and lower fuselage sections covered with mud and dust.
  • For tough contamination – hydraulic leaks from landing gear, oil deposits from engine compartment, fuel traces around tanks.
  • During seasonal maintenance – before and after storage period to protect the aircraft from corrosion and preserve market value

Why OC1 nanotechnology?

Traditional cleaning products rely mainly on mechanical action — they dissolve the outer layer of dirt but don't penetrate deep into material pores. OC1 Aircraft Cleaner uses nanotechnology that works completely differently.

Nanometer-sized particles penetrate deep into contamination structure, breaking it down from within at molecular level. It's like the difference between scraping snow (traditional methods) and melting it from underneath (nanotechnology). The result? Even the most stubborn insect residue, oil deposits and atmospheric buildup release on their own, without mechanical scrubbing and without the slightest risk of damaging delicate surfaces.

1. Applying the cleaning agent

Set the trigger to "foam" position and evenly saturate the surface to be cleaned with the product. Don't spare the product on heavily soiled areas like leading edges, landing gear or engine covers. For very tough contamination you can apply more product and let it work slightly longer, watching that it doesn't dry on the surface on hot days.

2. Waiting for active action

Let the product work for 2-3 minutes — this is the time when nanotechnology breaks down contamination at a microscopic level. If cleaning in full sun or on a hot day, work in sections and don't let the product dry on the surface. On cooler days or in shade you can extend the action time to 4-5 minutes for exceptionally stubborn contamination.

3. Optional brush assistance

For very heavy contamination or hard-to-reach places like landing gear crevices or flap folds you can gently assist with a soft long-bristle brush. Don't press hard — the cleaner has already done most of the work. The brush serves only to reach recesses and mechanically remove already broken-down contamination, not for aggressive surface scrubbing.

4. Rinsing with clean water

Thoroughly rinse cleaned surfaces with clean pressurized water or from a garden hose. You can use the "stream" mode on the trigger for precise rinsing of hard-to-reach places. Make sure you've flushed all product from crevices, hinges and recesses where it could accumulate.

5. Thorough wiping with cloth

You can use a soft microfiber cloth for a streak-free finish, which is particularly important before air shows or official inspections.

Important

Don't use the product on hot or sun-heated surfaces — this can cause too rapid drying and reduce cleaning effectiveness, as well as leave hard-to-remove streaks. Best application temperature is approximately 15-25°C. Avoid cleaning in full sun on hot days — work early morning, late afternoon or in a shaded hangar. After use, close the bottle tightly and store at 5-25°C, away from frost and direct sunlight, to maintain full product effectiveness.

Tip

For best results use the product regularly after each flight or at least once a week during intensive operation, before contamination has time to dry and set on the surface. The fresher the contamination, the easier to remove without additional treatment. If planning a longer break between flights, always thoroughly clean the aircraft before standby — dried insect residue and atmospheric deposits are harder to remove after weeks or months, and acids they contain can permanently damage paint and contribute to corrosion in protective coating micro-crack locations.

Can I use Aircraft Cleaner on plexiglass and cabin covers?

Yes, absolutely. The product is completely safe for all types of plexiglass, acrylic and polycarbonate used in aviation. The formula contains no aggressive solvents that could cause dulling, cracking or discoloration of transparent materials. After cleaning and thorough rinsing, cabin covers remain crystal clear without streaks and risk of damage, maintaining full transparency and optical properties for many years of operation.

How often should I wash my aircraft with this product?

It depends on flight intensity and operating conditions. After each flight through areas with many insects, it's worth using the cleaner right after landing, before residue dries and sets on the surface. With regular operation in normal conditions, cleaning once a week or every 5-10 flight hours is sufficient. Remember: the more often you care for your aircraft, the easier it is to clean and the longer protective coatings last. There's no risk of "over-washing" — the cleaner is designed for frequent use without negative impact on materials.

Is the product safe for composites and carbon fiber?

Yes, Aircraft Cleaner is completely safe for all types of composites used in modern aviation, including carbon fiber, fiberglass and hybrid composites. The formula was designed to effectively remove contamination without penetrating the composite structure or affecting binding resins. After cleaning and thorough rinsing, composite materials maintain full mechanical strength and properties without any negative effects even with frequent use.

How many washes can I get from one 950 ml bottle?

One bottle is enough for approximately 12-15 washes of a complete light or ultralight aircraft, depending on machine size and contamination level. With smaller ultralights you can get even 18-20 washes. The cost per single wash is just approximately 4-5 PLN, making the aircraft cleaner a very economical solution compared to professional cleaning services offered by technical hangars or ground service companies, which can cost several hundred PLN per wash.

Do I need to dilute the product before use?

No, the cleaner is ready to use right after opening the bottle. This is one of the main advantages of Aircraft Cleaner — you don't need to think about proportions, mix with water or prepare working solutions. Just open the bottle and immediately start cleaning. The formula is already perfectly balanced for optimal cleaning effectiveness and maximum safety for all aviation materials. Diluting the product can significantly reduce its effectiveness and extend cleaning time as well as increase consumption.

Can I use the product on a hot engine or heated surfaces?

We don't recommend using the product on surfaces heated above 40°C. Hot surfaces cause too rapid evaporation of active ingredients, which reduces cleaning effectiveness and can leave hard-to-remove streaks or discoloration. After flight, wait minimum 20-30 minutes until the aircraft cools to ambient temperature, or clean only those parts not exposed to direct heating. You'll achieve best results cleaning the aircraft in the morning before flight or in the evening after completing flight operations.

Does the product leave a protective coating after cleaning?

Aircraft Cleaner leaves a minimal care layer that offers basic surface protection for 24-48 hours. For long-term protection against atmospheric factors, UV radiation and a hydrophobic effect facilitating subsequent cleaning, we recommend applying OC1 Quick Protect after cleaning, which leaves a durable water and dirt-repelling coating for 4-6 weeks, significantly facilitating cleanliness maintenance and protecting paint from degradation during operation.

What is the product shelf life and storage conditions?

The cleaner maintains full effectiveness for minimum 3 years from production date, provided it's stored in appropriate conditions. Keep the bottle at 5-25°C, away from direct sunlight and frost. Always close the bottle tightly after use to prevent evaporation of active ingredients and contamination ingress. If the product has changed color from transparent blue to cloudy, changed to a thicker consistency or has an unusual smell, don't use it — though this is very rare with proper storage and respecting expiry dates.

Can I use the product in a closed hangar?

Yes, the aircraft cleaner can be safely used in enclosed spaces with basic ventilation. The formula contains no aggressive solvents or volatile organic compounds in concentrations requiring special precautions. Nevertheless, we always recommend use in ventilated areas or with hangar doors open for work comfort and faster drying after rinsing. If you must work in a completely enclosed space, ensure at least minimal air exchange through a ventilation grate.

What to do if contamination doesn't come off the first time?

For very heavy, dried contamination like old insect residue or heavily set oil deposits, apply the product twice. The first application softens and breaks down the dirt layer, the second removes it completely without trace. You can also extend the cleaner's action time to 5 minutes, watching that it doesn't dry on the surface. In extreme cases gently assist with a soft long-bristle brush, focusing on the most stubborn spots. Remember: mechanical scrubbing isn't needed if you give the product enough time for chemical action at the molecular level.

Is the product safe for markings and decals on the fuselage?

Yes, Aircraft Cleaner is safe for all types of markings used on aircraft, including vinyl decals, painted registration numbers, transfers and photo prints. The formula contains no solvents that could weaken adhesive or cause graphic discoloration. After proper product application, markings remain in impeccable condition. Nevertheless, we recommend avoiding prolonged soaking of old, partially peeling decals and not using brushes directly on marking edges, where this could accelerate their natural operational wear.

Can I use the product on chrome landing gear elements?

Absolutely yes. The cleaner works excellently for cleaning chrome landing gear parts, shock absorbers and other metal elements. Chrome remains shiny without dulling or discoloration. Moreover, the formula contains ingredients preventing new contamination from settling, which means landing gear stays clean significantly longer than after cleaning with traditional methods. Regular use of the product on chrome elements also helps prevent spot corrosion, which often appears in chrome layer micro-crack locations exposed to moisture and salts.
